24.7.10 I write like JK Rowling ------------------------------- I have learned to take life cum grano salis. Oh, if you don't know what this means, I'm sorry. It translates as 'with a grain of salt'. I learned the saying as a little girl. I thought it was funny because everyone knew one tiny grain of salt would never flavour your food enough. Mum tried explaining it to me, but I had no reason to understand what she meant back then.
And now? I understand it too well. Never accept anything you hear without considering the source. Who is speaking? Why did they tell you that? What do they want? How much of a spin did they put on their words? Is it a total lie? Childhood innocence has been murdered by the deatheaters and that bloody bastard leader of theirs. And yet, I see teens my age who behave as if they have nothing more to think about than being bored, for instance. How can they be bored? Even if wizards weren't threatened with war, I don't understand how anyone going to school can be bored. There is so much to learn. So much to plan for.
And I intend to be in my future, bloody he-who-mustn't-be-named notwithstanding!
